DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 14-year-old girl is missing from Decatur and her family believes she may be in danger.
Avyana Mitchell left her house a week ago with no phone or money and she hasn’t been in contact with her parents, friends, or family.
Mitchell’s family has been handing out flyers in Dekalb County in the hope it may get her home.
“I’m in shambles because as a mom, to be hopeless and not be able to do anything for your child, is the worst feeling in the world,” Ayvana’s mother, Jessica Maddox said.
Maddox says she was with her father, at his girlfriend’s mother’s house on Rollingwood Lane on Mar 28. She apparently wandered off without telling anyone.
