The father of a Lawrenceville woman on trial for murder claims his daughter tried to leave her husband numerous times because of his “mistreatment.”
Ashley Schutt allegedly sedated her husband Greg and then stabbed him 40 times. She also allegedly bashed his head with a hammer. A clinical social worker testified Schutt exhibits all the signs of Battered Woman’s Syndrome. Prosecutors point out Schutt never filed a restraining order or even called police about the alleged abuse.
