Fire at Brookhaven townhome complex under investigation

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A fire that tore through a townhome complex in Brookhaven is under investigation early on Thursday morning.

Fire crews in DeKalb County responded to a townhome complex on 2528 Appleden Pl. around 2 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews saw smoke coming from the garage of one of the units.

Investigators told WSB Radio that the fire appears to be a case of “arson.”

Crews were able to extinguish the fire that originated from an enclosed garage at Bramley Park.

DeKalb County Fire Cpt. Jaeson Daniels said no injuries were reported and the fire damage is “minimal,” and the fire will not displace the family living there.
