The body of a man who fell into Lake Lanier on Thursday has been recovered.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said that the body of James Don Lindsey, 46, of Cumming, was recovered around 11 a.m. Sunday. DNR game wardens located his remains using sonar and recovered them with a remote vehicle.

Lindsey was in the water working on his boat at Mary Alice Park when he went under and did not come back up, according to DNR. Game wardens, Forsyth County Fire and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers members searched daily for Lindsey until he was found.

Lindsey’s body has been turned over to the Forsyth County Coroner.
