FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has announced that his office rescued a teenager from a group of four alleged human traffickers.

Carr said his office’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. From that tip, investigators were able to identify, locate and rescue a 14-year-old victim.

The teenager had been missing for seven weeks before they were rescued earlier this year.

After a 10-month investigation, Carr announced Monday that the four people responsible are now in custody.

The defendants and their charges include:

• Jody Netter, charged with human trafficking for sexual servitude, rape, child molestation and cruelty to children
• Courdale Thayer, charged with human trafficking for sexual servitude, cruelty to children, false imprisonment and aggravated assault
• Jahaundria Seabron, charged with human trafficking for sexual servitude
• Raphel Olivia Sewer, charged with human trafficking for sexual servitude

If convicted, each of the suspects faces a possibility of life in prison. Netter and Thayer could face up to an additional 40 years for their other charges.

Carr says that this year alone, the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit has arrested nine people, investigated and prosecuted 51 defendants, and rescued and assisted 107 victims.
