Funeral arrangements made for UGA recruiting staff member killed with football player in crash

TOCCOA, Ga. — Funeral arrangements have been made for a University of Georgia recruiting staff member who died with a Bulldogs football player in a car crash.

Family and friends will say their goodbyes to Chandler LeCroy on Wednesday, January 18. The visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a service to follow at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Toccoa.

The UGA football team and staff will serve as honorary pallbearers.

LeCroy and offensive lineman Devin Willock died in the early morning crash on Sunday. Another offensive lineman, Warren McClendon, and another recruiting staff member, Victoria Bowles, were injured in the crash.

Athens-Clarke County police said the accident report will be released later this week. Funeral arrangements for Willock have not been announced as of Tuesday.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations are made in LeCroy’s memory to First Baptist Church of Toccoa’s Mission Fund or the Stephens County High School Competition Cheer Program.
