Georgia’s First Lady is continuing her push to fight human trafficking in the Peach State.
“People know in Georgia we mean business, we are not here to play. You are going to get a harsh penalty if you bring your bad business here.”
With Atlanta named one of the 14 cities with abnormally high levels of human trafficking by the FBI, state employees can now take part in a new training.
Kemp wants state lawmakers to pass a bill that would close a loophole that allows judges to give more lenient sentences to people convicted of human trafficking.
The state has also released a new training for state employees and the general public on how to spot the signs of trafficking.
The roughly 30-minute training is available online for everyone.
