Georgia house Republican lawmakers have proposed the Riley Gaines Act barring biological males from playing in girls sports and requiring separate locker rooms.
House Speaker Jon Burns says, “this is simply about fairness and common sense.”
The law would apply to all public schools and universities.
The rules also apply to private schools that play against public schools.
A similar bill has been introduced in the state senate
