Georgia deputy went ‘above the call of duty,’ bought tent for student who loves camping

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — An elementary school student in Douglas County recently received a special surprise from a Douglas County deputy.

When Deputy Isaac Daniel Illidge learned about a Burnett Elementary School student’s love for camping, he decided to go above and beyond the call of duty and purchased a tent as a special gift.

He presented the gift to the student on Wednesday.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Deputy Illedge for going above and beyond the call of duty. This kind gesture demonstrates not only the compassion and care our officers have for the community but also the positive impact they continue to make in the lives of our youth. Thank you, Deputy Illedge, for your generosity and for making such a meaningful difference,” according to the Burnett Elementary Facebook page.
