Georgia man charged with fatally shooting his stepson at Gwinnett Co. hotel

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A 54-year-old Stockbridge man was arrested and charged with fatally shooting his stepson on Tuesday evening.

Johnny Mays Blackshear Jr. was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and gun possession in the death of his stepson, 26-year-old Jordan Calloway.

Officers were called to a hotel on Venture Parkway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday where they found Calloway suffering from a gunshot wound.

Blackshear was arrested in Walton County and taken to Gwinnett County jail.
