ATLANTA — Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced plans to help fund major infrastructure improvements around the state.
He says $250 million will go towards road construction grants and $530 million will go towards freight and logistics improvements.
In July of 2024, Gov. Kemp announced the $1.5 billion infrastructure plan where the Georgia Department of Transportation said that the money will fund 19 new projects and expedite 42.
“I will be proposing another infusion of $250 million to the Georgia Environmental Financing Authority Fund to support the development of water, waste water and solid waste infrastructure projects,” Gov. Kemp said.
