DULUTH, Ga. — Gwinnett County firefighters are battled some large flames Wednesday morning when a house directly across the street from the City of Duluth Police Department caught on fire.

It appears to be a small, abandoned wood frame house that backs up to Buford highway.

Traffic was shut down on both the north and southbound lanes on Buford Highway near downtown Duluth while Gwinnett County Firefighters battled the blaze.

The fire department said they have investigators on the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
