Gwinnett County police arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting at the Mall of Georgia.

Khaden Williams, 18, is in custody after the shooting that occurred outside the Mall of Georgia on Saturday night, where a 15-year-old boy was shot and injured.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say an off-duty officer working mall security heard gun shots ring out and ran towards where the shots were coming from.

Authorities say that the officer was able to take custody of Williams as he was attempting to run off.

Williams is charged with Possession of a Fire Arm and Aggravated Assault.
