ATLANTA — The Hawks’ difficult but hard-fought season has come to an end.
The Atlanta Hawks playoff run ended with a 128-120 loss to the Boston Celtics at State Farm Arena on Thursday night.
After leading the Hawks to a series-saving Game 5 win in Boston, Trae Young didn’t have much to give in Game 6.
Young finished with 30 points and 10 assists, but scored just two points in the second half. He missed 12 of 13 shots in the third and fourth quarters.
Jaylen Brown led Boston with 32 points, while Jayson Tatum scored 30. Former Hawks player Al Horford had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Boston will now move on to face the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the playoffs.
