ATLANTA, GA — Health officials are warning about a deadly surge in respiratory illnesses dubbed the winter “quad-demic”
“There has been an increase in cases of Covid, RSV, stomach viruses, and flu”, ABC’s Rhiannon Ally reports.
So far, this season the flu alone has sent more than 63,000 people to the hospital and caused at least 2700 deaths.
Doctors attribute the spike in illnesses to gatherings over the holidays and lower vaccination rates.
