HENRY COUNTY, GA — A Henry County teacher accused of sexual assault is now in custody.
Rodney Freeman disappeared after the girl made the allegations against him. A 17-year old student at Union Grove High School claims Freeman tried to have sex with her. The teens father went to police, who began investigating Freeman, but he disappeared.
On Tuesday morning, however, the Henry County teacher turned himself in.
The Henry County School District placed him on leave and he’s now behind bars at the Henry County Jail.
In addition to his teaching duties, Freeman is also a JROTC instructor.
