Jonesboro Mayor Donya Sartor has announced her resignation in a special called meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Sartor was elected the city’s first Black mayor in March 2023.
This comes just weeks after the Jonesboro Police Chief Todd Coyt and Assistant Police Chief Audrey Dunlap resigned.
