Lanes reopen on I-85 after tractor-trailer flips, traffic remains slow

Tractor-trailer blocks I-85 in Gwinnett County after crash (Georgia Department of Transportation)

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A tractor-trailer flipped over on Interstate 85 in Gwinnett County. Triple Team Traffic reports the crash on I-85 is being cleared and lanes are expected to be reopening, though slower than normal.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes. Triple Team Traffic suggests Buford Highway as an option.

The tractor-trailer was on its side and blocked several of the southbound lanes before it was removed.

It’s unclear if the driver of the semi was injured, or what caused the crash.

At this point, it is still unknown if other drivers were involved in the crash, or what caused it.

While lanes are open, traffic remains slow, according to Triple Team Traffic.
