ATLANTA, GA. — It’ll be three years and month in federal prison for Marcus Thomas after he pleads guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
Atlanta police say he illegally obtained a gun and shot through a window at a Travel Inn located on Forest Hills Drive.
The shooting comes just four days after Thomas was released from prison on an aggravated assault charge from an incident in July of 2022.
APD officers found multiple rounds of ammo in the motel bathroom, plus the gun used in the shooting hidden in fitted bed sheets.
No one was hurt, but the shooting did some damage to the motel.
