ROSWELL, GA — Roswell police are searching for a woman’s boyfriend after her body was found discarded in the woods on Christmas Eve.
Officers say someone walking along Azalea Drive near Atlanta Street around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday found a woman’s body in a ditch.
Investigators identified her as 47-year-old Blanca Sauer of Sandy Springs. They say she had been shot at least once before being dumped in the area.
Police have now named her boyfriend, 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto, as a suspect. Soto is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5′11′ and weighing 170 lbs.
Roswell police detectives are also working with State, Federal, and International authorities as he is wanted for firearms possession charges by Interpol. Should he be seen, authorities direct the public to not engage with him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
“This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer,” said Roswell Police Chief James Conroy. “We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence.”
Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Roswell Police Department immediately at 770-640-4100. Anonymous information can be provided through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477) or online at www.StopCrimeATL.org.
