ATLANTA, GA — The man who shot and injured three people inside an Atlanta food court last summer has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars and 10 years probation.

In June 2024, Jeremy Malone walked into the food court at Peachtree Center, punched a stranger which he then shot.

Malone shot two other people before an Atlanta police officer shot him. He was arrested and everyone survived the shooting.

Malone ended up taking a guilty plea to one count of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, and other charges.

His lawyers said he struggles with mental health issues and requires medication.
