POLK COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: The search for Mr. Statham has been called off. Polk County police say Mr. Statham passed away. The department does not suspect foul play and asks for the public to keep his family in their prayers.
The Polk County Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 79-year-old man.
Jimmy Clarence Statham was last seen leaving his home on Beaver Run Road around 4 p.m. No one has seen or heard from him since then.

Police said that Statham has memory issues, but has not been diagnosed with dementia.
He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Police said Statham was last seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts. Statham was last seen driving a dark green 1999 Toyota Tacoma with Georgia Tag No. BZV3669.
