The red and gold line rail service will be suspended at the stations until Monday. MARTA suggests that commuters to account for an extra 30 minutes of travel through these areas.

Rail service north of Buckhead and Lenox, and south of Lindbergh, and service on the blue and green lines will run normally.

General manager Jeff Parker said this work will enhance the safety of the system and make sure trains are running with minimal delay.

“Sometimes we do have slow orders in that area, which we slow down the trains to make sure they’re operating safely, we’ll be able to eliminate those and operate a more reliable system,” Parker said.

MARTA said the work is just part of necessary up-keep for the tracks. Free bus service between the three stations will be offered while the work is being done.

“We will have free and continuous bus service running through all the service hours so that we can make sure people make their connections. We are asking that people a lot a little bit extra time we’re saying up to 30 minutes,” Parker said.

The MARTAConnect pilot program with Uber will also be available to customers during the project.

MARTA will provide a link to a $10 Uber voucher that customers can download to their Uber app and use twice daily to travel to or from Lindbergh Center, Buckhead, and Lenox rail stations.
