ATLANTA — The price of mega millions lottery tickets is set to increase after the drawing on Friday evening.

Georgia lottery officials say the price of a mega millions lottery ticket will jump from $2 up to $5. It marks the first increase since 2017.

The ticket may cost more, however, the odds of winning is also set to increase for customers as there will be one less mega ball.

The jackpot is up to $50 million.
