A search was continuing Friday night for a suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting in Gwinnett County. A member of the county’s District Attorney’s Office was wounded during the incident.
The D.A. investigator “was driving along Auburn Road (just west of the Old Fountain Road intersection) when he was shot by the occupant of a silver SUV,” said Gwinnett police Friday evening.
The investigator pulled into a nearby Shell station parking lot to call for help. He was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A motive for the shooting is unknown.
Police are searching for the suspect SUV, described to have passenger side rear end damage.
