GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A judge has declared a mistrial in the case of three men accused of murdering a father and coach at a Gwinnett County gas station last year.
Bradley Coleman, 29, died after being attacked at a QT gas station on July 10, 2022.
The Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office accused Josiah Hughley, David Booker, and Miles Collins of attempting to carjack Coleman when Coleman fought back.
Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney John Melvin said that’s when Hughley shot him.
Melvin told jurors last week that the three men are members of the Bloods gang.
On Friday, Coleman’s family stood hand-in-hand at the Gwinnett County Courthouse and spoke about how they thought the trial was going so far.
“God has not let us down,” said Coleman’s mother, Venetia Coleman. “He will not fail us. We believe these three individuals that did this to our son is going to pay with their lives in prison for the rest of their miserable lives.”
Monday was the third day of testimony in the trial.
