New affordable senior living housing community opens in Adamsville

ADAMSVILLE, GA — Tuesday marks the opening of a new affordable housing community in the Adamsville neighborhood.

Atlanta City Council member Andrea L. Boone joined community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the Juanita H. Gardner Village at 3650 Bakers Ferry Road at 2:30 p.m.

The new affordable housing community in the Adamsville neighborhood is named in honor of Ms. Juanita H. Gardner, a long-time neighborhood association leader and community activist. The development features 108 independent living senior units in a state-of-the-art, three-story elevator accessible building.

“We are envisioning a vibrant and promising future of affordable housing for our seniors. This community is inspired by a deep commitment to fostering dignity, security, and opportunity for our golden residents,” said Council member Boone. “We also take a moment to celebrate and honor the remarkable legacy of Juanita H. Gardner, a beloved community activist and longtime NPU-H Chair. Her tireless dedication, leadership, and passion have paved the way for progress and unity. We will continue to build a future that reflects her vision of a stronger, unified, and more inclusive community.”
