HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — A winter storm that ripped through parts of Georgia this week led to a delay in pay checks being sent on time to around 6,000 school employees in Henry County.

Officials say the monthly checks that were supposed to be sent on Friday morning will not be available until Jan. 29.

According to Henry County school district officials, staff members who were in charge of the checks could not get to work because the facilities were closed and roads were icy and hazardous.
