ATHENS, Ga — Two more known gang members are under arrest as part of a push to target criminal street gang activity, Athens-Clarke County Police say.
Tair Kuran Lawson and Trevious Omar Bugg face several charges including Violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Police say Lawson has a significant, violent criminal history with guns.
Lawson was already on parole for Violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
Bugg was already on probation for Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony, Terroristic Threats, and Battery.
Police say they seized 17 guns along with drugs and stolen property.

Athens-Clarke County Police have now arrested 25 known gang members or associates as part of their initiative.
The department announced the arrests of 16 gang members in December. They seized 11 guns during those arrests.
