Drivers into downtown Atlanta today will run into a temporary street closing.

A portion of Peachtree Street near Underground Atlanta and the Five Points MARTA station is shut down until mid-afternoon on Wednesday so work crews can remove signs at 54 Peachtree Street.

The closure will affect travel in both directions between Alabama Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. This is the block just south of the MARTA station and the entrance to Underground.

The sidewalk on the west side of Peachtree will remain open for pedestrians during the closure which is scheduled to end at 3 p.m.
