Portions of Hartsfield-Jackson’s north terminal parking deck closed for construction

A South Carolina man says he parked his pickup truck at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport earlier this month only to return to find his vehicle stolen.

ATLANTA — Portions of the north terminal parking deck at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are currently closed to drivers.

Construction crews will soon shift their focus from working on the south terminal parking deck, which they’ve spent the last nine months renewing, to the north terminal parking deck.

The work is part of a years-long project to reinforce and eventually replace the domestic terminal’s parking decks, which are more than 40 years old.

Officials with the airport will discuss the project, its timeline, and how the construction will impact travelers on Friday.
