PAUDLING COUNTY, — The Alpharetta-based Colonial Pipeline Company is now investigating reports of a possible leak in the nation’s biggest gasoline pipeline in Paulding County and says it has temporarily shut down one of its lines.

Details are limited, but they say crews are on scene. Tuesday’s shutdown is expected to last 12 hours.

Line 1 transports about 1.5 million barrels worth of gasoline a day between Houston, Texas and Greensboro, North Carolina.

Gasoline analyst Patrick DeHaan says this shutdown most likely won’t have an impact on gas prices.
