Blue lights in the rearview mirror normally means a ticket, but in one metro city, it meant Christmas gifts.

The Dunwoody Police Department partnered with Elevate City Church to provide gifts for some drivers pulled over for minor traffic violations.

Pastor Thomas Cheesman say they had a team at a local Target buying gifts while the officer talked to the driver.

When the church members brought them gifts, Cheesman says they were often overcome.

He said they gave gifts to 10 drivers this year and hope to do it again next Christmas.
