State Senator reacts to his Thursday arrest

A north Georgia Senator who was arrested outside the State of the State address shared his side of the story on Thursday night.

State Senator Colton Moore said he should have been allowed into the joint session.

“Essentially, I just dealt with the Georgia mafia today. That’s what I dealt with,” he said. “Big mafia man kicking the door down.”

Burns had banned Moore for comments Moore made about late House Speaker David Ralston last year.

House speaker John Burns banned Moore from coming onto the House floor, but the state senator says he has got work to do so he will be back there today.

“Im going back to work,” Moore said. “I am going to show back up in the senate. I have an obligation to be there.”

And if he says if that is a problem, they will just have to arrest him again.
