Nearly five million candles of different sizes and scents sold exclusively at Target have been recalled due to laceration and burn hazards.

According to a news release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall includes 5.5-ounce one-wick, 14-ounce three-wick and 20-ounce three-wick Threshold candles sold in glass jars.

“Target received 137 reports of the candle jar breaking or cracking during use,” the release says. “Six injuries were reported, including lacerations and severe burns.”

The recalled candles were sold in Target stores nationwide and on Target’s website from August 2019 through March 2023 for between $3 and $20.

Anyone who has a candle included in the recall should return it to Target for a full refund or contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return it by mail.
