Teenager in critical condition after being shot while taking out the trash

SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was shot taking out some trash on his way home from work in South Fulton County last week.

Police are still searching for the shooter.

His mom Appolonia Blanchard said her son MiQuavious was shot in the head at the Camelot Condominium complex off Old National Highway in College Park.

Blanchard said after he got off his McDonald’s shift at 11 p.m. on Jan. 18, he was dropping off trash and a Christmas tree for his mother at the complex’s dumpster. The family doesn’t live at the complex, and Blanchard said some people didn’t like Miquavious using the dumpster there.
