CBS-TV Affiliate KDBC has confirmed that actor Sherman Hemsley has been found dead in his El Paso, Texas home.
Hemsley played George Jefferson both on the groundbreaking CBS situation comedy "All in the Family" and later on a spinoff, "The Jeffersons."
Sherman Hemsley was 74.
