ATLANTA, GA — The justice department says Johnny Narcisse of Atlanta and his cousin Johnson Jew-Juste of Loganville brazenly stole funds from programs to help people and businesses suffering during the covid pandemic.

They’re accused in an extensive conspiracy to recruit small business owners and then file fraudulent applications for covid loans. If the loan was approved, the borrowers kicked back a percentage of the loan proceeds to the cousins.

Both plead guilty to wire fraud, defrauding the paycheck protection program, and economic injury disaster loan program of more than $2 million dollars. Each is sentenced to over two years in prison and ordered to pay restitution.
