ATLANTA — Police in Atlanta are investigating a pair of shootings on Christmas Eve, including one that left a woman dead.

Around 6 p.m., officers responded to a person shot call at 1113 Smith St. SW.

When police arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not released.

Around 10:39 p.m., police responded to Grady Memorial Hospital after reports of a 17-year-old male who was shot in his left foot.

Investigators learned that the shooting happened in the area of 609 Thurmond St. NW. The identity of the shooting victim is unknown. Police are investigating what led up to both shootings.
