FORT STEWART, GA — Two soldiers are killed in a vehicle accident during a training exercise at Georgia’s Fort Stewart.

The two soldiers were assigned to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd infantry division.

Their names are not yet released.

“We are heartbroken about this tragic accident and will do everything we can to support the Soldiers’ Families and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” said Maj. Gen. Christopher Norrie, 3rd Inf. Div. commanding general. “The entire division extends our deepest condolences to the Families of the Soldiers who died in this accident.”

The accident is under investigation.
