ATLANTA, GA — Georgia is among the top 10 places for folks to move to, according to U-Haul.
Southern states are leading the way in an annual report done by U-Haul, which tracks one-way rentals.
South Carolina received the largest number of movers with Texas coming in second.
U-Haul’s Matt Merrill says that North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee round out the five leading growth states. “We see a lot of customers moving out of our blue states, coming down to the south, to the red states.”
Georgia ranks ranks 8th on the other end of the spectrum.
California experienced the greatest loss of do-it-yourself movers for the fifth straight year.
Massachusetts was second from the bottom.
