It should be an active weekend of construction around Metro Atlanta, especially in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area with the Transform I-285/GA-400 project. This will include resurfacing & bridge projects in Fulton County. Not only will lanes be blocked for extended periods of time, but, traffic will also be paced across all lanes of GA-400 & I-285 as part of this project. Lane closures will also be taking place for road work on I-85 in Northeast Atlanta between GA-400 and 17th St. This will cause delays in and out of Midtown. On the south side of town, lanes will be blocked throughout the weekend along I-285 near Old National Highway and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as well as I-75 south of I-285 in Clayton County.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION ZONES:

• Sandy Springs (Transform I-285/GA-400 project): I-285/Eastbound (Inner Loop) from Glenridge Dr (Exit 26) to Ashford Dunwoody Rd (Exit 29) in two right lanes in the overnight hours; GA-400/northbound ramp to I-285/Eastbound (Inner Loop) closed until around 3pm Saturday, 7/11. GA-400/Northbound traffic pacing in 2 left lanes between Glenridge & Abernathy Rd during overnight hours; GA-400/Southbound from Hammond Dr to I-285 will have 2 left lanes closed from 9pm to 5am. Peachtree Dunwoody Rd from Hammond Dr to Lake Hearn Dr & I-285/Eastbound will be closed. Also, Abernathy Rd closed in both directions at GA-400 during overnight hours.
• Fulton Co: I-285/Eastbound (Inner Loop) ramp to GA-400/Northbound closed Friday night into Saturday morning.
• Fulton Co: I-285/Eastbound/Westbound (Inner & Outer Loops) at Old National Hwy (Exit 62) will have 2 right lanes closed in overnight hours.
• Fulton Co: I-285/Westbound (Inner Loop) between Jonesboro Rd/Hwy 54 (Exit 55) and I-75 (Exit 58). Traffic pacing between 5am-9am.
• Cobb Co: I-75/Southbound at Barrett Pkwy (Exit 269) will have one left lane closed between 9pm-5am throughout the weekend for paving.
• Clayton Co: I-75/Northbound from Mt Zion Blvd (Exit 231) to I-285 (Exit 238). Traffic will be paced over the weekend from 5am-9am.
• Downtown: Connector/Southbound (I-75/85) from University Ave (Exit 244) past Hwy 166 (Exit 243). Traffic will be paced over the weekend from 5am-9am.
• Atlanta: I-85/Southbound south of GA-400. 3 left lanes blocked throughout the weekend.
• Atlanta: Trinity Ave from Pryor St to Peachtree St SW – 2 right lanes closed from crane placement from 9am-5pm on 7/10-7/11.
