Police are searching for the shooter who killed a woman waiting outside a Clayton County Waffle House.

The scene is at the location at 8765 Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.

According to authorities, the victim was waiting in her SUV for her order outside of the Waffle House when another woman walked up to her and shot her several times around 4 a.m.

Police released a photo of a woman they described as being of slim or medium build with possible dreads or a headscarf who was driving a white compact Bruick Regal or Verano.

Witnesses said the shooter then returned to her car and drove away.

The victim, who was not yet identified, died from gunshot wounds to the upper torso of her body.
