A 22-year is old man is nearly beaten to death by a gang in McDonough for apparently no other reason than the fact that the victim was Vietnamese.
Gloria Harvey, the victim's girlfriend, told Channel 2 Action News the gang jumped 22-year-old Davis Do after first yelling racial slurs at him.
“He started to walk off and as he did they started to attack him,” said Harvey. “I was right behind him and I started screaming for help.”
The assault occurred outside Soho Grand, a bar on Highway 155 Friday night. Do was out celebrating his birthday when he was attack, his girlfriend says.
“We thought he was dead when we seen him,” said Harvey.
The suspects left the scene in a grey or silver Dodge car. Police have not released a description of the suspects. Do remains in the hospital with two broken jaws.
