Riverdale police are investigating what is believed to be a deadly shooting at an apartment complex.

Police say a man was shot Thursday night at the Brooks Crossing Apartments on Taylor Road.

The victim was unresponsive when he was taken to the hospital.

Riverdale police Major Greg Barney told the AJC that victim is believed to have died.

Neighbors say the man has small children who were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.

The investigation is continuing and no suspects are in custody.

Police told News/Talk WSB’s Richard Sangster they would issue a statement Friday morning.
