The bad news: you didn’t win the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night. The good news: you’ll get a chance to win almost a half billion dollars on Friday night.

Georgia Lottery officials told News/Talk WSB that no one matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing for a jackpot of $363 million. Now the big prize rolls over to a record-breaking $476 million. That drawing will be held at 11:00 p.m. Friday night on Channel 2, WSB-TV.

“This is the biggest lottery jackpot in the United States – ever,” said Margaret DeFrancisco, president and CEO of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

Tuesday night's jackpot was the third largest in Mega Millions history. The numbers were 9, 19, 34, 44 and 51. The Mega Ball was 24, and the "Megaplier" was 3 those who paid extra for a shot at bigger prizes.

47 tickets did have the first five numbers correct, but not the Mega Ball. Each of those tickets is worth $250,000, according to the Mega Millions website. None of those tickets were sold in Georgia.

There has not been a Mega Millions winner since Marcia Adams, 33, of College Park won a $72 million jackpot Jan. 24. The jackpot has rolled over 17 times since then.

The previous Mega Millions record was a $390 million jackpot in March 2007. A person from Georgia and another from New Jersey split the jackpot.

The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 175.7 million.

Mega Millions is played in 42 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the Virgin Islands.
