Peach Pass now good in NC and FL

Peach Pass holders in metro Atlanta can now travel toll roads in North Carolina and Florida without having to stop at toll booths or pay a higher priced video bill.

The State Road and Tollway Authority says the Peach Pass, which gives motorists the option to pay to ride in the Express Lanes on I-85, is now interoperable with Florida’s “SunPass” and North Carolina’s “Quick Pass”.

“If you’re a current Peach Pass customer, you can now drive on toll roads in both Florida and North Carolina and those tolls will be automatically posted and deducted from your Peach Pass account,” says SRTA Executive Director Chris Tomlinson.

He tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish Georgia customers will not have to make any changes on their account to take advantage of the new benefit unless they have a Pay n GO! pass from a CVS or Walgreens pharmacy. In that case, they will need to go online and convert to a standard account to make sure their vehicle’s license plate is registered.

“The overwhelming majority of our customers don’t have to do anything—just drive,” says Tomlinson.

Motorists in North Carolina and Florida can also use their passes here as well.

“Our next goal is to connect Peach Pass with all of the northeast “E-ZPass” states and that’s something I hope to deliver over the next 12 months or so,” he says.
