They seemed like simple burglaries from a Forsyth County storage facility, but it turns out there is more to the story.

Six people are in custody, charged with break ins which took place over a three day period from January 27 to January 29.

According to the Sheriff's department, three storage units, along with a cargo trailer at Sawnee Storage off highway 20, were burglarized during this time.  The thieves got away, but surveillance video allowed deputies to identify the vehicle and its driver.

The suspect, 20 year old Joshua Williams, of Sugar Hill, was located on February 5 while driving down Settingdown Road.  Following a short chase, in which Williams tried driving backwards down the street, he was arrested. According to deputies, Williams did not disclose any information about the other burglars. Information received from tips led the Sheriff's department to three homes, one in Alpharetta and two in Forsyth County. At each location stolen items were discovered, including lawn equipment that was found at a home on Jones Bridge Road, in Alpharetta.

At one home, on Leigh Lane in Forsyth County, deputies found a stolen flat screen television, along with marijuana, methamphetamine and drug related items.

Six people, three women and three men, were taken into custody.

Under arrest are:

• Joshua Williams, 20, charged with burglary, felony theft, criminal trespass and numerous traffic violations.
• Ashley Laird, 26, of Alpharetta, charged with burglary, theft and trespassing.
• Cody Beavers, 21, of Gainesville, charged with theft by receiving, drug trafficking, drug possession and felony obstruction.
• Amber Nicholson, 23, of Flowery Branch, charged with drug trafficking, drug possession and obstruction.
• Brynn Grichuck, 27, of Swanee, charged with possession of methamphetamine.
• Colton Beavers, 19, of Gainesville, charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related items.  He bonded out of jail.
