Here we go again. More syringes have been found at a WalMart in Cartersville.
The most recent discovery came Monday after a family says a syringe was mixed in with a bag of groceries. Russell Ballard with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office tells Channel 2 Action News the family had purchased several items from several different departments and made the discovery when they got home.
"It's still an active investigation. That's what we're working it right now to find out as many leads or any details we can find out," said Ballard.
Customer Jim Pate says he hopes someone is caught soon.
"It's dangerous and at some point those needles might be infected or you know, have something in them that could hurt somebody," said Pate.
There have now been 14 syringes found in all. Earlier this month, a a syringe was found in a woman's nightgown and another found in a hoodie.
"I think it's probably someone working inside instead of you know, somebody that is doing it from the outside," said Pate.
On Tuesday, a Stone Mountain woman claims to have found a syringe in some pants she bought at the Athlete's Foot in Decatur.
