Gwinnett County's oldest mall opens a brand new theme park to attract more shoppers.

It's no secret Gwinnett Place Mall has seen better days, but mall officials tell the Gwinnett Daily Post the opening of Fantasy Magic World will help turn it around.

It's complete with indoor and outdoor events, including laser tag, carnival rides and circus acts. It's grand opening is Friday.

The new owners of Gwinnett Place are hoping the new addition will lead shoppers back to Pleasant Hill Road and away from other shopping destinations like the Mall of Georgia.

The 30-year-old mall is trying to crawl out of foreclosure and rejuvenate the area near Satellite Boulevard.
